I first met Aubrey at a study break in college. Later on, she and Elwood were providing pre-movie music at the Cable Car Cinema in Providence, and they performed at my first date, and my first date with my wife. :-) I continued following them over the years, and keep in touch.
Adam came to the 5-5-5 screening of Serenity in Seattle. I’ve got pictures of him talking to my older daughter at the autograph table—someone who was working there pulled us up to the head of the line so we could get the girls home and in bed. :-)
I’ve known Robert for years now, since we both hung out on DevX’s off.ramp newsgroup. I’ve learned to pay attention to the things he’s interested in, because the odds are good that I will be too.
